Virginia Lette is a highly experienced Australian media presenter. Known to viewers as ‘V’ Virginia is renowned for her warm personality, her excellent interpersonal skills and her dedication to and passion for creating quality entertainment.
In addition to co-hosting a national music television program on the Seven Network (with Sunrise weather presenter James Tobin) Virginia is known for presenting WIN Television's local weekend News bulletin in Tasmania. She worked for many years at Nova FM in both Sydney and Brisbane and currently mentors numerous young media aspirants. Virginia is a confident, energetic and highly competent MC whose voice can be heard on numerous radio and television commercials around Australia.
With a career in the media spanning over 15 years, Virginia has a natural ability to relate to any audience, young and old. She has appeared in a variety of television commercials, presented the weather for Southern Cross Ten and the Prime TV Networks and her impressive resume demonstrates skills and experience envied by many of her peers.
A keen sportswoman, Virginia has recently been employed as an On-Field MC for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 with previous experience working on-field for the Hobart Hurricanes and Cricket Australia at the 2015 Big Bash Final. Among many other high profile sporting and corporate events Virginia has hosted NRL matches for the St George Illawarra Dragons, Brisbane Broncos (fronting up to 50,000 people at Suncorp Stadium) and the Canberra Raiders.
What many wouldn't know about Virginia is that she has a strong background in Marketing and Small Business Management. During a five year hiatus from the media industry in her early 20s, Virginia fulfilled a variety of marketing and entrepreneurial roles most notably as the ACT State & Region Manager for Young Achievement Australia – a not-for-profit organisation whose mission was to assist young people in setting up viable and profitable small businesses.
Virginia has been an active Board Member of the YWCA in Canberra, a patron for Camp Quality and she lists receiving Honours in her Elementary Tap Dancing Exams as one of her proudest personal achievements. She is married to Australian Test cricket opening batsman Ed Cowan and together they have a young daughter, Romy.
